Chelsea's contact details
Chelsea Football Club was founded in 1905 and in it's 101 years of existence, has always been headline news. From the early formative years to the now Back-to-Back champions of England, the Stamford Bridge side has seen it's fair share of ups and downs, highs and lows, triumphs and disapointments.
The stadium has also changed dramatically throughout the years. Initially an athletics stadium, it has held greyhound races, speedway bikes, rugby, baseball and a host of other events to catch the public's imagination. Nowadays, Stamford Bridge is one of the largest sporting arena's in London and holds over 42,000 spectators. However during the 1930's and 1940's, the ground would regularly hold up to 80,000 supporters, peaking in 1935 with 82,910 fans witnessing the Blues against Arsenal. An even bigger attendance came a decade later against the celebrated Moscow Dynamo's from Russia: estimations suggest that over 120,000 filled the terraces that day.
With such legendary names to wear the famous royal blue shirt as Peter Osgood, Jimmy Greaves, Ron 'Chopper' Harris, Gianfranco Zola, Frank Lampard, Andriy Shevchenko and the England captain John Terry, Chelsea FC is looking forward to it's next century of football and building on it's growing list of honours.
